LAURA ANGLADE & MIKE BRUZZESE

Recognized by Radio Canada’s Ici Musique, Toronto-based French/American Jazz singer Laura Anglade is making a name for herself in the jazz world. Laura’s singing is reminiscent of many of the great vocal stylists of the 20th century including Anita O’Day, Shirley Horn, and Blossom Dearie. On her second album, Venez Donc Chez Moi, Laura teamed up with Montreal guitarist Sam Kirmayer. It’s a tribute of sorts, and a nod to Laura’s beloved France featuring jazz versions of French classics made famous by Maurice Chevalier, Boris Vian, Edith Piaf, and Jacques Brel to name a few.
