Bolstered by a twenty-year career, seven landmark albums and three Félix awards, including Performer of the Year, Vincent Vallières tells the story of the beauty and shortcomings of an everyday North American life filled with hope. Now, he has found a second wind, marked by a desire to explore certain sounds and avenues less travelled, while retaining the evocative power that distinguishes him. Dayv Poulin has been weaving musical landscapes since youth, be it with Les Chaizes Muzikales, Konflit Dramatik, Toe Jam Tequila or solo. This time he’s keeping things nice and intimate, giving us stripped-down takes of hits from his three previous albums, as well as a sneak peek of the next one. Good times, good vibes and good tunes, guaranteed!

Vincent Vallières

Born on August 8, 1978 in Sherbrooke, Vincent Vallières has been composing his own material since the age of 15. In 1996, he reached the finals of Cégeps en spectacle (2nd place) and subsequently recorded the demo album Le vent du nord. From 1999 to 2013, the albums Trente arpents, Bordel ambiant, Chacun dans son espace, Le repère tranquille, Le monde tourne fort and Fabriquer l'aube were released. With 21 career nominations at the ADISQ Gala and three Félix awards, including Male Performer, Vincent Vallières is undoubtedly a fixture on the Quebec music scene. The man who wears his guitar upside down tells of the beauty and the shortcomings of a North American daily life full of hope. In the spring of 2017, three years after the release of Fabriquer l'aube, a gold-certified album, Vincent Vallières launched his seventh album: Le temps des vivants. This album is that of the second breath, he will say. It marks the beginning of a new chapter, born of a desire to explore certain sounds and avenues less surveyed, while retaining the authenticity of the strength of evocation of the singer.
