Biography of Roxane Michaud

Roxane was born into a family of musicians in Caplan, in Gaspésie. She has been a violinist active on the musical scene in Quebec for several years. In addition to participating in numerous musical projects, she is regularly engaged as a freelancer with the Orchester symphonique de Québec, de Sherbrooke, de l’Estuaire as well as several other ensembles. She was also a member of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra in Ontario for the 2018-2019 season. A graduate of Laval University (bachelor's and master's degrees in performance) and the Conservatoire de musique de Québec, she studied with Brett Molzan, Hibiki Kobayashi and Darren Lowe. During her studies, Roxane had the chance to acquire a solid training in chamber music with the members of the Arthur-Leblanc Quartet, as well as in baroque music with the harpsichordist and organist Richard Paré. Roxane also devotes part of her time to teaching the violin and enjoys passing on a taste for music to her students.
