The great ambassador of Afghan music Homayoun Sakhi, incomparable virtuoso of the rubab lute, is back in Montreal for a memorable concert. Accompanied by his friend and colleague Kiya Tabassian, virtuoso of another emblematic lute, the setar, they will pay tribute to the ancestral cultures of Afghanistan and Persia. In this inspired dialogue will also participate two outstanding percussionists : Jamshid Sahari (tabla) and Hamin Honari (tombak & daf).

Le Festival des musiciens du monde is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the Conseil des Arts de Montréal and the City of Montreal. The concerts will take place in the Saint-Enfant-Jésus Church in the Mile-End and is specially designed to welcome you in accordance to the sanitary measures in effect.

- Doors open 30 minutes before the beginning of the concert.
