Cinematic, colorful and versatile. These are the words that Pop/Soul artist Omayela uses to
describe his music. Born on May 5th 1992 in the Montreal-Nord borough of
Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Omayela began developing his many talents from a young age through
various means, including busking on the streets. It was in Montreal that years later, he grew into
the multi-disciplinary artist he is today and his artistic persona, Omayela, was born. Omayela is a
lover of the arts in almost every capacity, he loves visual mediums such as graphic novels and
manga comics while also appreciating performance-based art forms such as music and stand-up
comedy.
Despite being heavily inspired by legendary artists such as Nina Simone, The Beatles,
The Wu-Tang-Clan, Biggie and the overall influences of the modern Hip-Hop era, Omayela’s
originality truly sets him apart. Omayela is a creative force, finding ways to incorporate distinct
themes, concepts and a slew of other varied artistic mediums into his releases, setting him apart
from his peers and drawing people into his universe.

Born in 1999, he began producing punk rock music at a young age. Inspired by the MySpace era of artists such as Breathe Carolina, AFI, I Set My Friends On Fire & modern emo rap artists such as Lil Peep, Yung Lean & 93FEETOFSMOKE, his music exhibitis the harsher realities of life. Recently signing with Dotwave Records in September of 2022 after finding a new hyperpop sound, So Long, Goodbye. is gearing up to release joint mixtape Silk Road '22 with Empty Romance & his debut album, Mal de vivre in early 2023.
