we invite you to come do some horizontal listening at Breakglass Studios, lay down to 4 vinyl sets, somewhere between ambient (whatever that means), downtempo, post folk, dub, who knows what else… Bring books, arts and crafts projects, pillows, come enjoy the visuals, the tea and sweet treats we’ll have prepared and listen to four special sets:
(oum has been truly enchanting for years and just released a 7” with her duo, ebb, named fleurs de rupture. It’s one of the most touching pieces of music we’ve heard all year. She is attuned to dreamlike soundscapes and otherworldly textures, anything she does will fill your soul with love. Come buy the album !
DJ Frog is a local fixture and underground legend. Her sound manages the rare feat of finding pure innovation through tradition and minimalism, warmth and deep deep soul in machinic voices - we really wanted to hear what she would sound like off the dancefloor.
d.b.y. is the co-founder of Chez.Kito.Kat records and has been pouring decades of love and care into a rich and diverse discography, dubby, tripped out, IDM flavors. He’s devoted to showing it’s easier to appear eclectic than actually be eclectic. You’ll be able to buy some records from the label that day.
Though s.talbot is mostly known for seriously precise techno sets and productions, his taste for ambient seeps through everything he does - he has an impressive intuition for emotion, slowness, how to create breaths of air within sound.
