TV Erased

There is beauty in the unwavering intensity of the band’s sound. TV Erased are studied bursts of guitar noise and post-punk shadings, atop a foundation of soulful R n' B drumming and Latino and middle-eastern percussion. These are the influences that the band hopes to stitch into a beautiful and original beast.  

Featuring Alex Ortiz (We Are Wolves) and freak noise guitarists Joseph Yarmush (SUUNS) and Trevor Barnes (Turbo), with drumming from Alex Hackett, singer-songwriter for Pang Attack. 

Following a chance jam session during which they wrote 4 songs, the band started to make demos in their studio. Self-recorded in the style of early Yo La Tengo, Fugazi and Blonde Redhead the idea was to work fast, record while the energy is at its highest and figure out the details later. Vocals were taken up by Yarmush, with contributions from the other members on various tracks. Inspiration comes quick and is tough to harness. 

The year following their initial jams, the band went into the legendary Hotel2Tango studio to start tracking over 22 songs with Radwan Ghazi Moumneh of Jerusalem in my Heart. From vocoders to percussion to a broadening of the sonic palette with instruments like the bazouk, he is helping to shape a sound that’s unique and forward thinking. 

From 2021-2023 the band finished a record with Adrian Popovich call, If you get, I want and will be released October 2023 on their own label, Stress Test Records.
