“It would be hard to be more festive and caliente! What better way to start the summer than with infectious, danceable music?” (L’Actualité, 2024). As the performance side of the independent label MTL Sauce Piquante, this Soundsystem is cooking up a recipe that’s a little crazy but fully digestible, a delicious blend of ska, rumba, calypso, funk and punk. Backed by singer-rappers KC and Gioco, as well as guitarists, percussionists and other fun-loving musicians who hold their place when it comes to jamming, DJ Oonga jumps into the mix with a light-hearted, jovial tone, using French, Spanish, English and Portuguese, inviting everyone to join in the party.
