Forró, a cultural expression originating from northeastern Brazil, holds a significant place throughout the country. Its traditional rhythms, such as "baião," "arrasta pé," and "xote," inspire dance and song, carried by compositions from great artists like Luiz Gonzaga, Dominguinhos, Anastácia, and others. Lara Klaus, a multi-instrumentalist from Recife deeply immersed in this musical tradition, created the group "Forró de Lá" alongside Rodrigo Simões (guitar and vocals), Gabriel Schwartz (flute, percussion, and vocals), and Dominique Poirier (accordion). Together, they bring a Brazilian flair to Montreal, offering the audience an entertaining and vibrant experience.
