The Liquor Store
Depuis 2015, le groupe montréalais promeut son énergie contagieuse et dansante à travers de nombreux festivals (FIJM, Festival de jazz de Lévis, Festijazz de Rimouski, etc.) ainsi que lors de tournées au Québec, en Ontario et dans les provinces maritimes.
The Liquor Store propose des interprétations explosives sur scène, tout en offrant en studio des performances plus intimes, sophistiquées et réfléchies.
Avec trois albums à son actif, le groupe explore une vaste gamme de styles — R&B, funk, hip-hop, soul et electronica — et propose une vision rafraîchissante de la musique urbaine au Québec.
À la suite du succès de leur album NightDrive, qui leur a valu le prix GAMIQ du meilleur album jazz de l’année 2020, le groupe a reçu une nomination à l’ADISQ en 2022 pour l’album Colossus. Ils présentent aujourd’hui la sortie de Right Place Wrong Time, interprétée comme un retour aux sources.
Since 2015, the Montreal-based group has been spreading its contagious, dance-driven energy through numerous festivals (FIJM, Festival de jazz de Lévis, Festijazz de Rimouski, among others) as well as touring across Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritime provinces.
The Liquor Store delivers explosive live performances, while offering more intimate, sophisticated, and thoughtful studio recordings.
With three albums to its name, the group explores a wide range of styles — R&B, funk, hip-hop, soul, and electronica — presenting a refreshing take on urban music in Quebec.
Following the success of their album NightDrive, which earned them the 2020 GAMIQ Award for Best Jazz Album, the group received an ADISQ nomination in 2022 for Colossus. They now present the release of Right Place Wrong Time, seen as a return to their roots.
