De par sa qualité de très jeune prodige, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) fut trimbalé par son père dans toutes les grandes cours d'Europe dès l'âge de cinq ans. Par la suite, l'adulte qu'il était devenu s'étant fait un nom, plusieurs des meilleurs orchestres du Vieux Continent lui commandèrent diverses œuvres, dont les symphonies dites de «Paris», «Linz» et «Prague», toutes fort réussies.
Le concert «Mozart voyage!» illustre l'apport du compositeur au genre symphonique en faisant le tour de celles de ses œuvres identifiées à des noms de villes européennes. S'y greffent la symphonie dite «Haffner», terminée à Vienne, de même que celle qui l'inspira, la Symphonie op. 18, n° 1 de Jean-Chrétien Bach — l'un des fils de Jean Sébastien —, que Mozart rencontra à Londres lorsqu'il était encore enfant.
En prime, l'extraordinaire concerto en do mineur KV 491, joué pour l'occasion par la talentueuse pianofortiste Gili Loftus.

Due to his quality as a very young prodigy, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) was carried around by his father in all the great courts of Europe from the age of five. Subsequently, the adult he had become having made a name for himself, several of the best orchestras of the Old Continent commissioned various works from him, including the symphonies known as "Paris", "Linz" and "Prague", all very successful.
The concert “Mozart travels!" illustrates the composer's contribution to the symphonic style by reviewing those of his works identified with the names of European cities. The so-called “Haffner” symphony, completed in Vienna, is added to it, as well as the one that inspired it, the Symphony op. 18, no. 1 by Jean-Chrétien Bach — one of the sons of Jean Sébastien — whom Mozart met in London when he was still a child.
As a bonus, the extraordinary concerto in C minor KV 491, played for the occasion by the gifted pianofortist Gili Loftus.
