Micah P. Hinson

Micah P. Hinson, a cult figure of American alt-folk, was born in Memphis and raised in Texas in a religious family of Chickasaw descent. After a difficult adolescence and unstable years, he debuted in 2004 with Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel of Progress, critically acclaimed especially in Europe. After ten albums, including the recent I Lie to You (produced by Asso Stefana), in 2020 he underwent a deep creative crisis. The turning point came with Stefana: together they recorded The Tomorrow Man, written between Texas and Spain, his first work entirely rooted in the present. “I’ve been searching for these songs my whole life,” says Hinson.
