Join Caia Hagel, digital anthropologist, VICE columnist, and author of ANON: The Future of Love and Friendship in the Age of AI, a new memoir that The New Yorker says “breaks new ground both in what it means to use technology and in what it means to be a person in an increasingly digital, mediated world,” in conversation with Erandy Vergara-Vargas (MX/CA), curator, writer, and Assistant Professor at UQAM’s École des médias, with special focus on internet cultures and contemporary art. This electrifying conversation will explore how we find love in a loneliness epidemic and a brave new world of digital intimacy and AI companionship. On this special night, the audience will become part of the discussion. Bring your most tantalising, taboo, or terrifying questions and confessions. Share them out loud or submit them anonymously via @ and take part in a collective snapshot of how intimacy is being redefined in real time.
