Dès ses débuts en 1999, FLOATING WIDGET s'est dressé comme un pionnier du stoner-rock au Québec. Piloté par Vincent Peake (Groovy Aardvark, GrimSkunk), le quatuor Montréalais a su forger son son, alliant une 'rifferie' pesante à un groove lancinant qui enveloppe et transcende votre chi intérieur! Son premier album PRAISES TO THE RIFF MONOLITH (2004) est encensé par la critique et lui vaudra le tout premier trophée MIMI's (l'ancêtre des GAMIQs) remis pour groupe rock de l'année. En 2017, après un hiatus de 8 ans, le groupe sort le ep, THE SOUNDS OF EARTH qui ne manque pas de paraître sur plusieurs listes top 10 de sites web spécialisés à travers le monde. The band released it's self produced album PRAISES TO THE RIFF MONOLITH in 2004, to critical acclaim, followed by extensive touring with the likes of The Atomic Bitchwax, Alabama ThunderPussy, Truckfighters and such. After an eight year hiatus, the foursome dropped the ep THE SOUNDS OF EARTH (2017) which made many a top 10 list of stoner rock websites and fanzines around the world.
