A Quebecer by birth, Amin Benraqia nevertheless remains deeply attached to his Moroccan roots. Each year, he heads to Morocco to re-energize himself with his master, maalem Abdelkader Amlil, and to perfect his learning of the guembri, a plucked string instrument typical of Gnawa tradition and of sacred chants and rituals.

Amin Benraqia will thus be returning to enchant us with his guembri and its hypnotic

melodies and rhythms for a unique trance experience! A circle of gnawis among the most experienced in the country will accompany him to the sound of frenetic krakebs.
