Second season of local Georgina concert series announced - The Cedar Hedge Concert Series
The Cedar Hedge Concert series will present some of Canada’s finest folk, blue grass, old-time country, and blues musicians once monthly at The Virginia United Church in Sutton-West/Virginia, ON.
The nine-concert series will take place once a month on Saturday nights between September, 2024 and May, 2025. Series founder and artistic director, Matt Large, has been presenting concerts and festivals in Toronto and Montreal for over 30 years but has recently returned to his childhood roots in Georgina. “We want to bring years of experience presenting Canada’s finest to the Virginia United church, where concerts will be reasonably priced, begin at 7 p.m. and have you home by 9:30 p.m.” Large also commented that there are many wonderful concert options available to area residents but that his team is dedicated to presenting concerts for all ages in an alcohol-free, listening environment: “Having worked as a touring blue grass musician for over 20 years, I have been able to create friendships with some of the finest roots musicians in Canada. The Cedar Hedge Concert Series gives me the opportunity to showcase these exceptional acts in a cozy and great sounding room where our audience is silent so everyone can enjoy the show”.
This season, full- and half-memberships are on offer to ensure the best savings for our audience.
All shows are priced at $30, but you can obtain a Full-Series Membership for $215 (20% savings) or a Half-Series Membership for $245 (10% savings)
All memberships are transferable. Can’t make one of the shows? Offer it to a friend!We will extend the 20% or 10% discount to any other concerts or events we may present outside the series between September and May.
