It is May of 1992. The state-sanctioned "Operation" has put the city of Karachi at constant unrest. The film deals with the most brutal chapter of the city's history of animosity between communities divided by languages.

STILL STANDING: MIRKO PINCELLI

Mirko is an award-winning fiction and documentary director, with an extensive photography background working in post-conflict areas as the Balkans and the Middle East. Mirko graduated in Photography from the University of East London and worked for few years in advertising before setting up his own production company Pinch Media Film together with writer/producer Enrico Tessarin. Mirko directed in 2016 his feature-film debut, “The habit of beauty”. The film participated to 29 International Film Festivals including Montreal and Rome - winning multiple awards. The cast include BAFTA-winner Noel Clarke, Francesca Neri (Hannibal and P. Almodovar “Live Flesh”), Vincenzo Amato, Nick Moran, Kierston Wareing and Nico Mirallegro. He is now writing with his second fiction film “Sons” selected for IFF Toronto, while he recently completed his latest feature documentary “Still Standing”.

MURDER TONGUE: ALI SOHAIL JAURA
Ali Sohail Jaura is an independent filmmaker from Karachi, Pakistan with a penchant to evolve emotions through his stories.
In 2017, he made a travel short film "Arz e Pakistan" (Land of Pakistan) based on Northern Regions of Pakistan which went into a winning streak and won many accolades in various international tourism film festivals. It was also ranked in Top 10 tourism films of 2018 by Comité International des Festivals du Film Touristique. His previous narrative short film "Dry Leaves", have been officially selected in many prestigious film festivals like Indie Memphis Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival and Sedona International Film Festival to name a few.
