Depuis déjà plus de quinze années qu’elles présentent leur fusion de jazz tzigane et de reprises de chansons à un public enthousiaste, Christine Tassan et les Imposteures se sont fait un nom sur la scène musicale. Dans leur spectacle dynamique, ces quatre talentueux musiciens réunissent certaines des plus belles pièces de Django Reinhardt, de Félix Leclerc et de compositeurs de swing américains.
Avec un mélange particulier de virtuosité, d’audace et d’humour, l’ensemble à cordes marie la poésie de l’un au swing de l’autre pour inventer un univers musical foisonnant. Plus récemment, le groupe a élargi son concept au merveilleux swing de certains « amis » contemporains de Django et de Félix et revisite les succès de George Gershwin, Louis Prima et Charlie Chaplin en les harmonisant avec les belles mélodies de Django.
En vedette : Christine Tassan (guitariste soliste, chanteuse principale, compositrice, arrangeuse), Martine Gaumond (violoniste, chanteuse, arrangeuse), Blanche Baillargeon (contrebassiste, chanteuse, arrangeuse) et Jeff Moseley (guitariste rythmique, chanteur).

After a decade and a half of bringing their special blend of Gypsy jazz and revisited cover songs to an enthusiastic audience, Christine Tassan et les Imposteures have made a name for themselves on the music scene. In their dynamic show, these four exquisitely talented musicians perform some of the best works by Django Reinhardt, Félix Leclerc, and American swing composers.
With a singular mix of virtuosity, daring and humour, the string band draws inspiration from one artist’s poetry and the other’s swing to weave a rich new musical universe. They’ve more recently expanded their concept to the wonderful swing music of some contemporary “friends” of Django and Félix, revisiting hit songs created by George Gershwin, Louis Prima and Charlie Chaplin and blending them nicely with Django’s beautiful melodies.
Performing: Christine Tassan (lead guitar, lead vocals, song writing, arrangements), Martine Gaumond (violin, vocals, arrangements), Blanche Baillargeon (double bass, vocals, arrangements), Jeff Moseley (rhythm guitar, vocals).
