Ellen Doty est une chanteuse, compositrice canadienne. Sa musique se transporte du jazz à la musique soul en passant par la folk, pop et indie: un son qui lui est propre. Une vrai conteuse dont les œuvres sont aussi intimes et personnelles que leurs paroles manuscrites, l'immense talent d'Ellen pour l'écriture de chansons n'est complété que par une voix époustouflante. Originaire d'Okotoks, en Alberta, elle habite actuellement à Calgary.

Son premier album, «Gold», a atteint le top 10 des palmarès du jazz collégial au Canada, et elle a suivi la sortie avec une tournée canadienne de 40 arrêts, financée par la foule. Au cours de la dernière année, Doty a continué de faire de nombreuses tournées au Canada.
