NAIKA
Naïka is a singer-songwriter born in Miami, Florida. She identifies herself as a “TCK”,
third-culture kid, growing up living around the globe with the influences of French, Caribbean,
African and South Pacific cultures that she grew up in which shaped her musically and
individually. Her music reflects her love for Western Pop and R'n'B, mixed with the World Music
elements that reflect her roots and her upbringing. As a result, the singer writes her lyrics in her
various mother tongues which include English, French and Haitian creole. Naika recently
released the song and music video “My Body, My Choice” in response to the overturn of Roe v
Wade. The TikTok video she made first teasing the song organically produced almost 2M views
in a couple of days, with hundreds of fans submitting cover arts to her on social media to use for
the song. This came on the heels of her Summer 2022 single, “H20.”
Her first single “Ride” organically amassed over 5 million streams on Spotify alone. The song
reached #2 on the ‘Spotify Viral Global’ chart and made its way to viral charts in over 12
countries around the world including the US, Canada, UK, France, Australia, Norway, Belgium,
Czech Republic and Argentina. In July 2020, Naïka released Part 1 of her debut two-part EP
project entitled Lost in Paradïse,’ which garnered nearly 4 million streams across Spotify and
Apple music. In September 2020, Naïka released a cover of ‘Don’t Rush’ by Young T and
Bugsey on Tik Tok that had a big viral moment. With over 20 million views in just 3 months,
Naïka quickly became an internet sensation, gaining the attention of some big names like Jason
Derulo, and even the original creators of the song, Young T and Bugsey, who created a remix
version featuring Naïka. Her 2021 hit single ‘Sauce’ was featured in the global Apple iPhone
campaign and quickly gained household recognition after its premiere during the 2021 Grammy
Awards and run throughout the NCAA March Madness season.
