Alpha D, a multi-ethnic singer-songwriter, blends reggae, French chanson, and African rhythms. In 2019, he moved to Benin and teamed up with The FiyaBro’s, a collective of musicians with jazz and African influences. Together, they recorded Jeunesse Africaine, his sixth album and the first fully recorded with live instruments in Africa. Inspired by dub poetry and Rastafari culture, Alpha D delivers deep, socially engaged lyrics in both English and French.
