Menad Harkat is a Kabyle-speaking Algerian artist who draws his inspiration from a kaleidoscope of influences, skilfully blending North African and Western sounds. His music transcends cultural boundaries, offering a deeply rich and immersive aural experience. For Menad, music is a way of life. Set to Berber rhythms, he readily dips into folk music, flamenco, Kabyle folkore and, of course, chaâbi, all of which become veritable springboards for artistic encounters.
