La chanteuse britannique Gwyneth Herbert a été acclammée par la critique internationale pour ses 6 albums originaux et ses nombreuses collaborations. L'auteure-compositrice et multi-instrumentiste présente une musique empreinte de jazz, de swing et de blues. Elle a partagé la scène avec Amy Whinehouse, Jame Cullum et Boy George.

La chanteuse sera en Amérique du Nord cet été pour une très rare présence de ce côté de l'Atlantique. Elle sera à Québec les 1er et 2 juillet au Maelstrom afin d'inaugurer la nouvelle série JAZZ du café-bar le plus cool en ville.

UK artist Gwyneth Herbert is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, award-winning composer and lyricist and strikingly original performer. With one foot in the jazz world and the other somewhere in the future, she has released 6 critically-acclaimed albums (including the first UK Blue Note release in 30 years), toured across the world and shared stages with Boy George, Amy Winehouse and Jamie Cullum.

She has also presented for BBC Radio; written six staged musicals; performed her own film score at the British Film Institute; and had her arrangement of a Swahili folk-song performed by 100,000 children at once.

Gwyneth is performing across North America this summer in her acclaimed new multi-instrumental duo show with Ned Cartwright, featuring vocals, piano, saxophone, ukulele, french horn, percussion, melodica and cheese-grater. Expect tales of wild sea-drenched sirens, jaded seaside hotels, East End vagrants, loves and losses, drinks and whores... and the occasional Swahili singalong.
