Peyman Salimi is playing his first ever headliner show in Montreal at Le Ministere, on July 16. He’s performing a set of his new songs from his new album, The Psychology of Letting Go. The artist is taking this opportunity to raise awareness and to show his support to all the women of Iran who are risking their lives everyday in their legitimate protest against the brutality of the Iranian regime. Canadian bass player and singer-songwriter, Zoe Guigueno, will accompany the artist for this performance.

Peyman Salimi

Peyman Salim is an Iranian-Italian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and music producer. He recorded his first solo album in 2008, titled The Curtain. Following this, he founded The Allophones in 2010 where he led the band for 9 years before producing his second solo album, “Won Now” released in 2019. Peyman is described as a mature artist, coming from a high level of musical background, creating music that connects his Persian origins to his English-style songwriting while encompassing folk influences, where the guitar and the vocals are combined with minimal electronic textures/loops, never invasive. His genre could be best described as a refined adult alternative pop/rock. The artist’s third solo album, “The Psychology of Letting Go” is scheduled to be released in May 2023.
