Bishop’s University Drama Department invites you to step into the world of The Antipodes. An acclaimed play by Pulitzer Prize-winner Annie Baker and directed by Dr. Rebecca Harries, this compelling piece stars students from across Canada.

In a mysterious writers’ room, eight storytellers set out to find a story about a monster or “something monstrous” that will light “the way out of the forest” in “dark times”. As they follow this path, the writers and their high-powered boss reveal their own lives and may awaken the monster within. Punchy, incisive and thought provoking, The Antipodes is a captivating theatrical experience that will leave audiences reflecting long after the final curtain.

“An endlessly fascinating work.” (The New York Times)

“A mind-boggling experience” (Medium.Com)

“Finds the extraordinary in the seemingly ordinary” (The Guardian)

The Academy of Performing Arts at Bishop’s University looks forward to welcoming audiences from across the Eastern Townships to this unforgettable production.
