ICHRP Canada Conference & 3rd General Assembly

Resist State Terror, Stand for People’s Rights in the Philippines

May 3-5, 2024 in Montréal, Québec.

The Conference and Assembly will be held at Saint Columba House and feature three keynote speakers as well as panel discussions, workshops, and presentations. Additionally, there will be a pre-conference colloquium in conjunction with the Université dé Montréal on May 2, 2024, held on campus.

Among the topics to be discussed are the Philippine Peace Process, the red-tagging and terror designation of activists and activist groups, as well as practical skills such as solidarity work, organizing exposure trips, fundraising,  and political advocacy.

The Conference is an opportunity to seize the moment to collectively educate ourselves on the changing global and domestic context, to assess our strategies over the past 3 years, and to determine our plans to strengthen our solidarity and resistance in the years to come.

The registration fee for the conference will be 131.75 (including taxes and transaction fees charged by the platform). It will include two meals (lunch and dinner on May 4th), coffee, and snacks.

For accommodations, please note that we have limited capacity for billeting and will be arranging billets in a first-come, first-served basis.
