What is passed down through the generations in terms of family memory? What legacy? What strength? Three authors from contrasting backgrounds respond through their novels:  Ayelet Tsabari reflects on the history of her Yemeni Jewish community (Songs for the Brokenhearted), the Canadian Barbara Sibbald on her English Indian ancestors (Almost English) and the Sami and Swedish author Ann-Helén Laestadius on the Sami people (her trilogy Stolen, Punished and Disgraced).
