MARGOT'S SISTER

DIRECTOR: CHRISTINE DOYON
CANADA (QUÉBEC), 2021, FICTION/DRAMA, 16 MIN, O.V FRENCH, S.-T. ENGLISH

Margot, a pre-teen who struggles to find acceptance at school is challenged by the arrival of her intellectually disabled sister in the after-school program. Margot initially struggles to keep her worlds seperated but an event soon leads her to re-evaluate her position.

BLOOM

DIRECTOR: FANIE PELLETIER
CANADA (QUÉBEC), 2022, AUTEUR CINEMA, 84 MIN, O.V FRENCH/ENGLISH, S.-T. FRENCH

Through moments in the lives of three groups of girls, images gleaned from the web and live streams of young women around the world, JOUVENCELLES (BLOOM) delves us into the world of today's teenage girls. We delicately observe a hyperconnected but lonely generation inhabited by a great lucidity and an inner struggle with self-image obsession. This is a forceful female youth self-affirmation in the face of a deep alienation.
