Sons of Arrakis
Sons of Arrakis is a rock band based in Montreal and formed by Frederic Couture, Mathieu Racine (Birmani, Miels), Vick Trigger (Blue Cheese, UUBBUURRUU), Francis Duchesne (ARCADES). SOA is fairly influenced by the universe of the Dune novels written by Frank Herbert. Since the creation of the group in June 2018, the formation has been active in the rock scene in Montreal and Quebec. Their first single The Black Mirror released in October 2018 caught the eye of the audience and rock amateurs. Their first concert at Club Soda in Montreal in February 2019 showed all the band's potential. On July 15th, 2022, Sons of Arrakis launched their debut album, Volume I, that was well received by critics and the stoner rock/doom metal community across the globe. Moreover, Doom Charts contributors voted Volume I as best album for July, 2022. Therefore, Sons of Arrakis hit #1 on those charts last month.
