CO / NTRY est un duo post-punk adulte-contemporain composé d'artistes nés à Terre-Neuve/ vivant à Montréalais, Beaver Sheppard et David Whitten.

Bien que le groupe aime à se considérer comme neutre au genre musical, sa musique passe par une grande variété de styles avec indifférence. Le nom - à l'origine "Country" - a été choisi parce qu'il était détaché et impossible à rechercher en ligne, dans la lignée des actes énigmatiques comme Boston et Chicago.

CO/NTRY is an adult-contemporary post-punk duo comprised of Newfoundland-born/Montreal-based artists Beaver Sheppard and David Whitten. 

Though the band likes to think of themselves as genre-neutral, their music cycles through a wide variety of styles with manic indifference. The name — originally “Country" — was chosen because it was confusing and impossible to search for online, in the tradition of enigmatic acts like Boston and Chicago.

Birds of Paradise embrasse de nouvelles sonorités provenant du romantisme d'une époque révolue. Le duo est constitué des artistes multimédias Roy Vucino et Hannah Lewis qui, après avoir fui en Californie, ont commencé à jouer à travers le monde. BOP s'est immergé dans les films de Fassbinder, l'art Dada, NY hip hop & punk et les univers poétiques des livres de Murakami alors qu'ils se sont embarqués dans une épopée musical, sans fin prévue.

Birds of Paradise embrace new sounds that hold on to the romanticism of a past era. The duo consists of multimedia artists Roy Vucino & Hannah Lewis who, after eloping to California, began playing around the world. BOP have immersed them selves in Fassbinder films, Dada art, NY hip hop & punk and the poetic universes of Murakami books as they embarked on a musical trip, with no end in sight.
