Tribute to Led Zeppelin
Kashmir is a North American band that pays tribute to Led Zeppelin with remarkable precision. After more than twenty-two years of strong camaraderie and hard work, they take pride in being the only North American group that offers a tribute to Led Zeppelin with such authenticity.
This ambitious challenge is consistently met by the four musicians who bring charisma, sound, presence, and accuracy to their interpretations. Furthermore, the band has chosen to perform Led Zeppelin's greatest hits in the style presented during the legendary concert "The Song Remains the Same," raising the bar of the challenge as the duration and complexity of their performances are more significant than the original versions.
Of course, Kashmir's reputation was not built overnight. Their success is attributed to talented and passionate musicians, unmatched attention to detail, great chemistry, a love for the stage, music, and the audience, and, most importantly, years of practice allowing them to faithfully honor every note of the legendary rock band.
The members behind the formation are:
Bruno Sévigny: VocalsThierry Voisin: Guitar and thereminMarc Legault: Bass, keyboard, and mandolinAlain Lacaille: Drums
The Genesis of Kashmir:
In 2000, the idea of creating a Led Zeppelin tribute band had been brewing in Thierry Voisin's mind for some time. Motivated to make it happen, the talented guitarist thought of Bruno Sévigny, whose experience, vocal range, look, and attitude made him the ideal candidate to take on the microphone. Bruno agreed to embark on this adventure and quickly turned to Alain Lacaille to tackle the challenge of playing the drums due to his great dexterity. Martin Robert then joined the quartet on bass for several years, eventually passing the torch to Marc Legault.
Since their very first performance at the former Montreal bar "La place d'à côté" in January 2001, Kashmir has continued to impress rock enthusiasts and gain popularity. This is what motivates the band members to continue working tirelessly, putting their respective talents at the service of the hundreds of nostalgics who come to see them perform and embark on a time-travel journey characterized by authenticity and credibility that remains unrivaled.
If you haven't seen them live, be prepared to be blown away!
