Sara-Danielle’s “Ginger-Soul” sound — a blend of R&B, pop-soul, and folk — positions her as a cultural bridge-builder between Canada’s francophone and anglophone music scenes. A native French speaker, she was born in Ottawa, raised in Gatineau, and moved to Montreal to study voice and songwriting. Her dreamy, melancholic sound transforms a feeling of “belonging nowhere” into a sense of belonging everywhere.

Her work has been featured in internationally, including in TV show Emily in Paris, Wonderland Magazine, and local press Le Devoir, and she has performed at the Montreal International Jazz Festival and LA’s Soho House. Her debut LP ReRUN, released in 2024 on Simone Records, drew comparisons to Charlotte Day Wilson and Olivia Dean and earned her a spot among SOCAN Magazine’s “Five Rising Stars in R&B.”

Sara-Danielle releases her new EP, Not Just The Summer, on October 23 via Happy Life Management. Created during a year of travel and collaboration between Toronto and Montreal, and through songwriting camps across Canada and the UK, the five-song project features producers Duncan Hood (Charlotte Day Wilson), Derek Hoffman (Arkells), Julian Trivers (Busty and the Bass), and Christian Sean.
