THE GOOD PEOPLE RECORDS & Pif Paf Hangover present Curry Love
AVAILABLE MARCH 18th 2014
After playing numerous gigs within the Montreal scene and performing at many festivals (OUMF, M pour Montreal, etc.), Pif Paf Hangover is now ready to unveil their very first album. Out on March 18th via The Good People Records, Curry Love is a marvelous mix of indie, pop, rock and electro.
The official launch will take place at the Cabaret du Mile End on Thursday, March 20th. More than a show or an album release, it will be a celebration of springtime under the artistic direction of Jerry Pigeon.
Four guys, originally from the north (but not too far north) didn't know each other back then, but their lives began to mix and not with a little spoon, but a shaker. After six years of fiddling with studio recordings and live improvisation, these night life superstars finally decided to form a band: Pif Paf Hangover. In 2009, Pif Paf Hangover packed up their bags and their freshly recorded EP and moved to Montreal.
Their motto; perform every gig like it's the very last one, every time, leaving their mark. Frank, Gab, Manu and Maxo form a whole throughout their experiences, inspirations and weapons of mass musicality. In the end, Pif Paf Hangover is like this new drink with fresh ingredients and a spicy touch that'll make anybody dance in a heartbeat.
Curry Love was co-produced by Pif Paf Hangover and David Laurendeau (soundman of the year, 2012 Adisq). Among the musicians who lent a hand on this new opus is the cellist Marianne Houle, member of Montreal band Monogrenade. Also singers Audrey Emery, Amylie, Myëlle and Warren Slim Williams are guests on this album that was recorded at Cerantola Studio.
