Lecture - coffee and treats in the Gallery

Both carried by the salt air of the Îles de la Madeleine during two consecutive artist residencies in 2020 and 2021, artists Vicky Sabourin and Justine Skahan reflect on the place of nature in their work and how it is transposed into their studio practice.

Vicky Sabourin is a multidisciplinary artist. In The carefulness and the blade, she presents an installation reminiscent of a cabinet of curiosities, bringing together ceramic pieces and a collection of objects from nature. Justine Skahan's work in painting and drawing examines the idea of home and the role that property can play at the heart of our human relationships. She will be the artist-in-residence in the Project Room of the Stewart Hall Art Gallery from the end of February to the end of March.

At the Stewart Hall Art Gallery, 3rd Floor.
