Emi Jeen

Auteure-compositrice-interprète montréalaise, Emi Jeen débarque sur la scène alt-pop en solo, et raconte des histoires évocatrices – d’espoir et de nostalgie, à la fois mélancoliques et gracieuses, mais toujours teintées d’une urgence brute. Remarquée sur scène pour son énergie théâtrale et son franc talent d’interprète, c’est aussi l’exubérance de son style et esthétique dark pop qui ne laisse personne indifférent!

 

Emi Jeen se dévoile avec une assurance qui s'incarne dans la sortie prochaine de "FYFMMS", qui figurera sur son troisième EP. Pour entamer un tout nouveau chapitre, et sans cacher ses visées internationales, le prochain EP, intitulé "Perfect Terrible Timing", est attendu pour octobre 2023 et comme promis, une production pop-rock inspirée des années 90, des voix puissantes et de la vulnérabilité.

Whale and the Wolf

In 2019 Whale and the Wolf teamed up with producers Jimmy Mansfield and Paul Rogers to record what would be the band’s second EP with a planned release and tour in 2020. Covid shifted the release and the band's plans for the coming years.

Armed with a plethora of new ideas and plenty more to say, the group jumped back into the studio. This time with North America’s best kept secret, producer Brian Moncarz. The goal with these new recordings was to capture the band's live, raw energy by tracking the majority of the instruments live off the floor.

The collective works of these two sessions along with the years of writing and production experience gained through covid forms what will be the band’s debut full length album.
