La Création selon Haydn
Composée en 1798, La Création (Die Schöpfung) est non seulement considérée comme l’une des pièces maîtresses de l’œuvre de Haydn — le couronnement de sa carrière créatrice en quelque sorte — mais également comme le prototype d’un genre qui s’imposera au 19e siècle, soit le grand oratorio allemand.
Avec le concert «La Création selon Haydn», Galileo entend boucler un premier tour de piste des genres musicaux propres à la musique symphonique qu’il explore depuis le début de ses opérations artistiques, en novembre 2010, c’est-à-dire l’oratorio.
Pour ce faire, il fait appel à trois solistes de grand talent, la soprano Andrea Núñez, le ténor Philippe Gagné et le baryton Dion Mazerolle, et s’allie au Chœur classique de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, un ensemble qui fête cette année ses soixante ans d’existence et dont la réputation n’est plus à démontrer en termes d’engagement dans la pratique de la musique classique et auprès de la communauté qu’il dessert. Ils chanteront la version anglaise de l'œuvre.

Composed in 1798, The Creation (Die Schöpfung) is not only considered one of the centerpieces of Haydn's work - the crowning achievement of his creative career in some way - but also as the prototype of a genre that imposed in the 19th century, the great German oratorio.
With the concert “Creation according to Haydn”, Galileo intends to complete a first tour of the musical genres specific to symphonic music that he has explored since the beginning of his artistic operations, in November 2010, that is to say the oratorio.
To do this, he calls on three very talented soloists, the soprano Andrea Núñez, the tenor Philippe Gagné and the baritone Dion Mazerolle, and joins forces with the Chœur classique de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, an ensemble which is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary this year of existence and whose reputation is well established in terms of commitment to the practice of classical music and to the community it serves. They will sing the English version of the work.
