El Diver

January 2014 : two childhood friends join forces to warm up their winter by creating pure and true sounds with their monophonic instruments. The authentic music coming out of this collaboration between Jean-Cristophe Boies (vocals, drums) and Simon Laplante (bass) resonates from Quebec City all the way to Montreal where Steve Nadeau, old time musical partner of JC, dirties up the project with his guitar textures, both lyrical and corrosive. The distance is no barrier to the trio’s eagerness to meet up and officialize their union, adding Francis Fugère’s (drums) fire to the delirium in the process. El Diver now has a name and a sound, one that vibrates thanks to the fusion of catchy melodies, felt lyrics and ambient tones, and dives through your soul all the way to its unexplored corners.

Janvier 2014: deux amis d'enfance s'unissent pour réchauffer leur hiver en créant des sons purs et assuré avec leurs instruments monophoniques. De cette collaboration entre Jean-Christophe Boies (chant, batterie) et Simon Laplante (basse) a généré une musique authentique qui résonne de Québec jusqu'à Montréal, où Steve Nadeau, ancien partenaire musical de JC,  amène une touche avec ses arrangements de guitare , à la fois lyriques et corrosives.
