My Shadow

Since 2004, My Shadow has been an undeniable force in the metal scene. Composed of five members with distinct influences, they have one goal. -–Make new and original music that stands out from the ordinary–

My Shadow has a truly unique and sometime recognizable sound. It comes from a variety of influences, from the classics to the most brutal. They belong in the Melodic Death Metal trend but sometimes viewed as a Progressive Metal band for the song’s complexity.

They’ve been sharing the spotlight with countless local and abroad bands, and with every performance they prove to be a dominant force within the most acclaimed acts.

Pronostic

The band was born in 2010 and our first album, Deviated Inner Spectrum, came out in 2012. The album was recorded by Mathieu Marcotte of Augury, mixed by Hugues Deslauriers and mastered by Yannick St-Amand (Despised Icon). For the next two years we played many shows throughout the province of Quebec with bands such as Beyond Creation, Dying Fetus, Anonymus, Obey The Brave and BARF.

In 2014, we hooked up with The Grid Studio. We then worked with Chris Donaldson, an amazing guitarist for the band Cryptopsy and producer of many metal bands such as The Agonist, Beneath The Massacre, Beyond Creation and Obey the Brave. 

Our new album, An Atomic Decision, is our way to show you a much powerful and in-depth sound. In this album you will find our own melodic death metal style: a combination of high and low vocals, technical leads and intricate riffing from the guitars, groovy bass lines and intriguing drum parts.

Going from extreme vibes to ambient atmospheres, each song takes you on a unique adventure and allows your mind to explore and open itself.

Uriel

URIEL is one of the rare band that mix the beauty of classical music and the brutalness of metal. A unique mix of multiple instruments as such as harpsichord, piano, harp, trumpet, cello, timbals, violin… Adding to that the melodic complexity of the bass and the mind-carving melodic guitar, the drum is one of the most impressive. The female vocals are a rarely heard classical-pop style, added to the languorous cello.

Started as a studio project, in Montreal at the end of 2008, the angel URIEL has quickly spread his wings to the world shortly after. Through the years, URIEL has the chance to play alongside with Unexpect, Obscurcis Romancia, HolloW, Cryptik Howling, Q-Box, Reanimator, Liva and a lot more. Also played at major events as Camping Metal Fullpadge (2012) and BildoFest (2012).
