Janet Rogers is a Vancouver-born Mohawk and Tuscarora poet. She has numerous collections to her credit, as well as several spoken word recordings. Her audio works have been finalists for numerous awards. Janet was a long-time resident of Victoria before moving to her home community, Six Nations of the Grand River (Ontario) in 2019. In 2020, she founded Ojistoh Publishing, an independent publishing label dedicated to Indigenous authors. The French translation of her sixth collection, As Long As the Sun Shines (Bookland Press, 2018) has just been published by Éditions David under the title Tant que brille le soleil.
